It’s Not About Us. It’s
About Your Child, Always.

Our story is not really ours. It is every child who gains life skills, connects with others, and takes one more step toward independence.

It is every parent who feels a little more steadiness through clear goals, consistent guidance, and a team that truly listens. Those are the stories that make Great Gains.

And in Florida's Panhandle, those stories travel. Great Gains has served local families since 2013, earning trust in a community where reputation matters. With deep experience supporting the local community, and a team known for consistency, Great Gains helps families find their footing and keep moving forward.

No One Story is the Same,
But Here's How It Often Goes:

1

Uncertain Starts:

Parents try to make sense of their child's needs, behaviors, and day- to-day challenges while looking for a clear next step.

2

Beginning of Clarity:

An autism spectrum disorder (ASD) diagnosis can bring answers, but it often brings a new set of questions too. (If your child has not been diagnosed yet, we can help guide you toward the right next steps.)

3

Connecting with Care:

Families connect with Great Gains for guidance, and we move quickly to help them get started and match their child with the right therapist.

4

Building the Plan:

Our BCBAS complete thorough assessments and build a personalized plan around the child, aligning everyone involved, including parents, therapists, and educators when appropriate. Goals are tailored to the child's needs, from communication and social skills to daily living routines.

5

Developing Skills:

The child participates in fun, engaging sessions that fit the family's schedule, guided by a consistent, supportive team. Skills are taught through a balance of structured learning and natural, play-based practice that carries into real life.

6

Progress That Keeps Building:

Progress is tracked consistently and the plan is adjusted as the child grows. As milestones are reached and independence increases, each gain is recognized and the approach is refined. When the child is ready, support is gradually reduced, while remaining available whenever families need it.

It is not the end of the journey, but families who work with Great Gains can feel confident their child has been given real support for long-term progress, growth, and independence.

Together, a strong foundation is laid for growth that lasts.

From Early Development to Adult Success: Our Services

Early Learners (Ages 2-5)

Early Intervention programs are tailored for children ages 2–5, focusing on building foundational skills that support long-term development. These programs provide early support in areas like communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, and daily routines. By starting early, children gain a strong base that supports growth across all settings.

Growing Independence (School-Age)

School-Age Programs provide personalized support to help children strengthen social skills and build independence in school and daily life. Using targeted strategies, children learn to navigate peer interactions, manage routines, and grow confidence across different settings.

Community and Life Skills (Adults)

Adult Programs are designed to meet the unique needs of individuals with autism or developmental disabilities, with a focus on skills that support independence and success in everyday life. These customized programs help adults build vocational skills, strengthen independent living routines, and develop meaningful community connections. The goal is to support long-term growth in both personal life and work readiness.

Social Skills Groups

Led by experienced clinicians, social skills groups offer a welcoming, supportive space where participants of all ages and abilities can practice real-life social interactions. Through engaging activities and guided practice, individuals build friendships, strengthen communication, and grow confidence with peers. These groups support collaboration, empathy, and lasting connection in an inclusive environment.

Parent Guidance

(working together for your child)

One-on-one sessions with a BCBA provide personalized support and clear strategies you can use at home. These sessions focus on practical tools for communication, routines, and behavior support, so parents feel more confident and equipped day to day.
